SECOS

The Coastal Social-Ecological Millennium Institute (SECOS) is a center of excellence established in December 2020 as part of the Millennium program in Chile. It focuses on socio-ecological research and conservation, particularly in coastal areas. SECOS brings together researchers from various institutions to develop practical guides and indicators for integrating human well-being into protected area planning, aiming to enhance nature conservation efforts while considering the diverse realities of different conservation contexts.
