The Silicon Motion bought FCI and became its mobile communication product line. The FCI was created in 1988 by Framatome as a diversified non-nuclear energy operational enterprise. Twenty years later, FCI was one of the biggest production connector businesses after more than 20 acquisitions. In 2005, Bain Capital purchased FCI.
